California native Amy Gregg discovered her passion for jewelry design during a fashion illustration class in college. A four-year stint with designer Irene Neuwirth soon followed. As inventory manager and stone buyer for Neuwirth, Gregg learned the intricacies of the business firsthand. In 2013, she launched her eponymous label.
Combining Scandinavian-inspired geometric designs with her expert eye for unique gemstones, Amy Gregg is one of the West Coast’s most exciting and sought-after young designers.
IN HER WORDS
“I’m very much a Southern California girl. I’ve lived here my entire life. I have an eclectic clothing style, but with jewelry, my style is simpler. I am drawn to the Scandinavian modern look. That’s the environment I was raised in. I wanted to find a way to incorporate that into my jewelry—and also have a look that was different. Simple and different, of course, is not always easy to achieve.
I had a very clear vision from the beginning of minimalistic modern—simplistic design, pops of color and clean lines. That was my vision for the type of jewelry I wanted to wear.”
